I think I might be further along than the internets tell me I am. I feel this way for several reasons.
1st: I am having sciatica twinges when I lean over. This issue didn't occur with Pumpkin until about month 7 and didn't come along with Booger until month 5. I am entering month 3 now and already feel that odd pain/numb feeling in my right lower back and upper thigh.
2nd: The constant nausea has passed and been replaced with a healthy affinity for Quarter Pounders with cheese. Jeeves is such a prince that he went out and got me one late tuesday evening. It was like heaven, and it's so funny that I crave the same things with each pregnancy; quarter pounders, pancakes and orange soda. (This is going to pose a challenge when counting my calories, I've gotta figure something out. Maybe it'll have to be a thing I work in some days, I'll have to get better about meal planning.)
3rd: Nesting has set in, I stayed up until after midnight last night doing laundry, dishes and cleaning out the fridge. (Fun tip of the day: Got yucky leftovers? Don't want to clean the yucky glad-ware, but also don't want to pitch it? Freeze it! after the yucky leftovers are frozen they pop out of the glad-ware like an ice cube leaving no residue and allowing you to take your containers straight to the dishwasher rather than dealing with a sink-ful of stinky dishes.) Then this morning I got up and cleaned up the den and the munches room. My ass hurts and I can't seem to sit still. Also since I found out that tiny ninja number three was on the way, I've crocheted a third of a twin sized blanket. (Egad's, that's a lot of yarn!) It's going to be a rainbow blanket because my little bean is going to be a march baby and so we've been joking that he'll be a little leprechaun.
My first OB appointment is next Thursday, Web-MD tells me that I'll be 9 weeks and 2 days in at that point. I wonder what the doctor will say. Aside from lay off the Quarter Pounders...
Totally weird. Are you showing at all yet? If you had to guess what would you think you were? Surely not close to 7 months by now?
ReplyDeleteI'm showing a little, and I'd say 10 or 11 weeks, I swear I can already feel things swimming around in there.
ReplyDelete"They" say it's possible to feel the quickening sooner with subsequent pregnancies. 10/11 weeks would be around that time.
ReplyDeleteHow exciting!
I've never had a quarter pounder: what makes them different than the regular cheeseburgers? I looked it up, cause I was curious, but there is a 210 calorie difference. Or is it just not the same? I've never had a pregnant body, so I don't know what it's like to bargain with it.
ReplyDeletelol Jodi, They have a different seasoning on the burger and come on a sesame seed bun. I don't think it makes that much of a difference, but you crave what you crave...
